Kyrie Irving to Abandon the King!

      7/21/17

Another surprise. Reports came out earlier today that Kyrie Irving requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a meeting last week. Irving had four teams in mind when he asked the Cavs for a trade:

  • Minnesota Timberwolves: Kyrie and Jimmy Butler have both spoken

out about joining forces before, and now that Butler is on an up and coming team, Irving believes this is the perfect time for him to play with Butler. The problem is that the Wolves are most likely not willing to trade more of their young core for Kyrie. A possible trade can be Jeff Teague, Shabazz Muhammad, and a future first round draft pick for Kyrie Irving.

  • San Antonio Spurs: Kyrie will be a perfect fit in the Spurs system and the Spurs need a new point guard who is up and coming because Tony Parker’s age is creeping up on him now. The Kyrie fit in San Antonio is seamless,

The only problem is that San Antonio does not have any assets. They cannot trade LaMarcus Aldridge as Cleveland already has Kevin Love and no players on the Spurs roster seems worth a player with the talent of Kyrie Irving. A possible trade can be Danny Green, Patty Mills, Kyle Anderson/Dejounte Murray, and a future draft pick for Kyrie Irving and Channing Frye.

  • Miami Heat: I think Kyrie will be a good piece in Miami for years

to come if this trade goes through. The problem is that every player’s goal is to win a championship, and with the Heat and the roster around Hassan Whiteside and Irving, they probably won’t even make the Eastern Conference Finals. A possible trade can be Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, and a draft pick for Kyrie Irving

  • New York Knicks: The Knicks have probably the best chance at getting Kyrie Irving. I say this because if Kyrie gets traded to New York, the

Cavs will get Carmelo Anthony no matter what. From what I have heard, both teams are having serious discussions about a possible Kyrie-for-Carmelo swap. A possible trade can be Carmelo Anthony and a first round pick for Kyrie Irving and Channing Frye.

Today, I watched a video about Kyrie Irving and the best trades for the Cavs and Kyrie by Black9ne on YouTube. A really interesting trade I saw from this video was a three-team trade including the Cavs, Knicks, and Suns. In this trade, Cleveland will receive Eric Bledsoe (PHX) and Carmelo Anthony (NYK), New York will receive Kyrie Irving (CLE) and Tyson Chandler (PHX), and Phoenix will be receiving Frank Ntilikina (NYK) and Kevin Love (CLE). In this trade, all three teams are winners. Cleveland gets to replace both their point guard and power forward to make a run at the NBA Championship again as well as an incentive for LeBron James to stay next summer. The Suns get a veteran big man who can help mentor Marquese Chriss, they finally get rid of Eric Bledsoe, who did not fit their young rebuilding process’ time frame, and they also got a young point guard to pair next to Devin Booker in Frank Ntilikina, and New York gets rid of Carmelo Anthony and receives a strong big man as well as Kyrie Irving for a future powerhouse duo in Kristaps Porzingis and Kyrie Irving!
